Michael Page Biography
Michael Page is an American Emmy award-winning journalist who serves as a meteorologist and weather producer for WCVB NewsCenter 5’s award-winning StormTeam 5 in Greater Boston Area.
Discovering his passion for weather at an early age, Page started observing and forecasting the weather while he was in middle school. Later, in his days at Hingham high school, Page operated his own weather website, HinghamWeather.com. Page. He independently developed and operated the website where he garnered millions of hits per month.
Michael Page Education
Page attended Hingham High School from 2005 to 2009. Page was a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society. He joined Penn State University in 2009 from where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology majoring in Weather Forecasting and Communications.
Throughout his time at Penn State University, he presented forecasts on the campus television station, WPSU-TV. Page presented live, compelling forecasts across Pennsylvania as part of the famed “Weather World” program, and award-winning Centre County Report. He also worked as a multi-media journalist where he researched, shot, wrote, and edited weather and environmental features. While still in college he was an intern at WCVB for two years.
Michael Page Career
Page served as a weather producer for Hearst in Needham, Massachusetts from May 2011 to August 2012. There, he generated unique, interesting, and accurate graphics for use on Boston’s #1-rated television news station. He also implemented an aggressive social media strategy on Facebook and Twitter to increase engagement and also brand loyalty.
Page served as a teaching assistant at Penn State University from January to December 2012. He developed lesson plans, led lectures, and assessed assignments as part of one of the nation’s most highly acclaimed meteorology departments. He taught Introductory Meteorology (METEO 003) and lead Earth & Mineral Sciences First Year Seminar (EM SC 100S).

Page joined Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. in Colchester, Vermont in April 2013. There, he served as a meteorologist and environmental reporter. He generated ideas for television and digital content. He then formulated and executed achievable daily plans to cover environmental news. Page worked as part of a team that produced high-quality television and radio forecasts for parts of Canada, New York, and Northern New England.
Michael joined NBCUniversal Media, LLC in Newton, Massachusetts in April 2015. Page provided live scientific expertise and analysis for both New England Cable News (NECN) and NBC10 Boston (WBTS-TV). As part of a team, he covered daily events across New England. Page covered the tornadoes, hurricanes, and blizzards. As a result of his coverage of climate change and its impact on New England, he won an Emmy.
Leaving NBCUniversal Media, LLC in March 2020, Page worked as a freelance contributing meteorologist for the Weather Channel. There, he covered Hurricane Henri and also the various winter storms that impacted New England. In June 2022, he joined WCVB as a meteorologist and weather producer for WCVB NewsCenter 5’s award-winning StormTeam 5.
